Are you passionate about film and community events? The Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival offers a variety of volunteer and internship opportunities that allow you to become an integral part of our festival's success while enjoying the vibrant world of indie filmmaking.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

If you’re looking to be directly involved during the festival, consider volunteering with us! We have several roles available, including working as an usher, selling merchandise, and managing front-of-house activities. Volunteers are crucial to the smooth operation of our festival. In return, we offer a day pass for the day you work and a free T-shirt. Our Volunteer Coordinator, Jessica Corbin, will be in touch with you regarding scheduling once you fill out our volunteer form.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES​
​
For those seeking a deeper engagement, our internship program might be the perfect fit! Interns take on significant roles, including social media support, programming, assisting with press relations, and sponsorships. This involvement offers a comprehensive view of running an indie film festival and provides hands-on experience in public relations and event management. Interns receive VIP access to the festival, allowing full immersion in the event. Additionally, interns will have the unique chance to meet professionals from all levels of the film industry and connect with filmmakers from around the globe. This is more than just an opportunity to watch great films—it's a chance to be part of a community that celebrates diversity, creativity, and the art of filmmaking.

Additionally, we collaborate with educational institutions to ensure that your internship can count towards academic credit. Please consult with your school administrators to explore this possibility.
